10 Greatest Superhero Video Games Of All Time

8. X-Men: Legends

ultimate Spider man
Marvel

Oftentimes forgotten because of its spiritual sequel Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (don't worry, I'll get to that), X-Men: Legends is still one heck of a game.

Arguably the best game based on Professor X's group of mutants (sorry, fans of the arcade game), Legends allowed the player to truly feel like they were controlling the X-Men. Most of that feeling is thanks to its dungeon crawler-style of gameplay, where you were allowed four X-Men on screen at once and could freely alternate between playing as them at any time.

Never before had the teamwork and collective force of the X-Men been so perfectly portrayed in a video game.

X-Men: Legends hit all the right spots, and it's a shame the series didn't go any farther than just one sequel.
