10 Greatest Video Game Voice Performances Of All-Time

7. Brucie Kibbutz - Grand Theft Auto IV - Voiced By Timothy Adams

There was division among the ranks when it came to GTA IV protagonist Niko Bellic. Some thought him dull and one-dimensional, others lauded his character - and Michael Hollick's quietly brilliant delivery - as the best the franchise had seen yet. But there was no such consternation when it came to Niko's dimwitted steroid-jacking accomplice, Brucie Kibbutz, a stand-out supporting role in a franchise already brimming with exceptional characters. The voice behind the man is a relatively low-profile player in the industry. To find the ultimate boneheaded gym-bunny, Rockstar had to dip a cautious toe into the world of soap opera stars - specifically the ill-fated (and distinctly terrible) Sunset Beach - to sign Timothy Adams for the role. A role he slipped into with such ease that his playfully stupid character became an instant fan favourite, with players clambering for any Brucie-focused missions in the game. In a game which was threatening to suffocate its own franchise somewhat by taking itself perhaps a little too seriously, Adams' playful and enthusiastic delivery as the hyped-up homophobic alpha male plagued by a myriad of personality complexes was welcome respite.

Game-obsessed since the moment I could twiddle both thumbs independently. Equally enthralled by all the genres of music that your parents warned you about.
