10 Hardest Bosses In Final Fantasy History

2. Dragonsong Reprise - Final Fantasy XIV

Square-Enix

Raids like Dragonsong Reprise can make one theorize that CBU III is where Square Enix sends all of its employees who liked to yank the wings off of butterflies as children. While 90% of the dungeons, trials and raid bosses in this game are perfectly manageable for casual players, the remaining 10% live in infamy.

This raid encompasses seven phases, each one with its own set of bosses. Going in-depth with each one would take all day, but rest assured, anyone serious about taking this raid on should set aside a full day beforehand just for research (this site is as good a place to start as any).

The most infamous phase of the seven is the fight against Nidhogg and Hraesvelgr. This phase is where the most party wipes occur. Not only because you have to fight both dragons at the same time, but because of Revenge of the Horde. This timed cast will wipe the entire party if both bosses aren't defeated in time. Expect to die a lot during this phase.

Like the Coils of Bahamut, this is not a raid series you should do with a party of random strangers. Get people you know, and make sure they've all done the required reading because the only way out of this is for everyone to be pulling their weight.

After completing Dragonsong's Reprise, you'll be drained, miserable, and likely really have to use the bathroom, But the rewards are more than worth it.
