10 Hardest Legend Of Zelda Dungeons
3. Dark Palace (Zelda: A Link Between Worlds)
Everyone remembers those sequences in Zelda games which force you to navigate in the dark with only the paltry light from your lantern to guide the way, usually because they fell into chasms and bumped into enemies more times than they could count.
Mercifully, they were usually short enough to keep players out of intense psychotherapy, but that all changed when A Link to the Past follow-up A Link Between Worlds hit 3DS, with the aply-named Dark Palace on board.
If you haven't already guessed, this was an entire level comprised of wandering in the dark, trying to navigate impossibly narrow paths with death on either side, and trapped-filled rooms with concealed hazards everywhere.
The worst moments came when players needed to use another item besides the lantern, because this meant depriving themselves of any illumination whatsoever and becoming wide open to attack. Dark stuff indeed.
