Fallout 4’s Far Harbor DLC is the peak of the title’s storytelling and creativity. The expansion does not only come with an intricate plot that surpasses the main storyline of the game but also with plenty of unique creatures and enemies that spice up the combat in new and unpredictable ways.

For example, by pretending to be a regular plant.

Lure weed is a glowing plant unique to the Far Harbor region. It is used for cooking recipes and can be found near marshy areas, where the player can harvest it like any other vegetation in the game.

That is, unless it is actually an angler in disguise.

Although most lure weeds are harmless, some of them are actually connected to a giant angler monster hiding underwater and waiting until someone falls for its bait. The fake weed is indistinguishable from a regular one, even giving the player the same “harvest” interaction when they hover over it, but it does cause its owner to come out of hiding and immediately attack the player.

The angler can be deadly at close range, which is why you should really consider your actions when attempting to harvest a lure weed.
