10 Hated Video Games That Are AWESOME Now

3. No Man's Sky

It's always easy to rag on No Man's Sky for it being a mis-sold, over-hyped, metaphorical snake oil of a game. The dead horse has been beaten so much you could play a tune on the bones left over.

Instead, let's put a positive on it. I know, weird concept, right?

Yes, had you bought NMS at launch, you'd feel a bit mugged off. A lot of what was promised wasn't there, so the vitriol was deserved.

But kudos to Hello Games for knuckling down, sticking to their vision and supporting it, instead of dropping the ball and leaving it like EA did with Anthem.

November last year saw the Synthesis update, which added over three hundred bug fixes and improvements, on top of a host of content-filling updates over the last two and a half years.

I won't say it's an underdog tale, its biggest problem was the Molyneux levels of hype at launch, but I will say it's a testament to sticking to your guns and working hard on a long term goal that NMS has turned itself around.
