10 Hated Video Games That Broke Fans

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is a compilation of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, released on all main platforms in 2021.

Considering all three games have received universal praise, fans couldn't wait to play Rockstar's updated edition. This also marked the first time GTA games would be available on a main Nintendo system, meaning this was many Nintendo fans first opportunity to play the trilogy.

But despite Rockstar's reputation and resources, the company bungled this new edition spectacularly. The most blatant issue that this misaligned trilogy suffered from is the graphics. Instead of redesigning the games with modern graphics, everything was smoothed out, making characters look cartoonishly disproportionate.

This problem could've easily remedied if, like the rereleases of the PS1 Final Fantasys or Grim Fandango, you could swap to the original graphics with the press of a button. The pixelated look would be dated but would look WAY better than this!

Being the devil's advocate, you could forgive the abominable aesthetic if the gameplay was as good as the original. But with low quality textures, frame-rate drops, and hardware crashes on all three games, it was a thorough disaster.
