The gambling! The loot boxes! The humanity, won't someone think of the children!
Sad as it is, loot boxes are an unfortunate endemic that would go away if people stopped actually buying them. Whilst a lot of negative press attention to the game was justly aimed at the heavy handed inclusion of them, and they subsequent man hours/monetary shortcut debate that a lot of people failed to mention one big caveat: the game itself.
Whilst the single player campaign has a fairly by the numbers plot to it, the core component is the multiplayer. Much as we used to love it back on the PS2/Xbox days, the spit and polish shows on this current gen iteration.
Now that it's had its microtransaction system revised, as well as more content, now is a good time to remind ourselves why we all love Star Wars in the first place: being able to shoot your friends in the face with space laser guns.
