10 Haunting Video Game Moments We’ll Never Forget

Condemned 2 was one of the finest horror games of the last generation and a solid sequel to Monolith's original Condemned: Criminal Origins. Players will all have their favourite moments from the game, including the exceptionally eerie doll factory level and the creepy hallucination sequences, but one of the parts that really stands out is, of course, the bear.

This perfectly-paced sequence begins after hero Ethan Thomas' plane crash lands in a snowy wilderness. Making their way towards a cabin and spotting some severed limbs along the way, a sense of dread rises up in the player until finally, the furry foe makes his appearance.

But unlike Baloo and Winnie the Pooh, this bear is in no mood for cuddling! It's one of the most ferocious and deadly creatures in the history of horror games, ripping the player to shreds if it so much as comes into contact with them. The cat-and-mouse sequence as the player attempts to escape and outwit the feral beast is brilliantly done and a real highlight of an overall excellent horror title.
