10 Hidden Dialogues In Video Games

6. Hidden Profanity - Discworld (1995)

An irreverent game based on Terry Pratchett's equally irreverent book series could only really have a famously irreverent voice actor behind its main character: Monty Python legend Eric Idle.

Idle voices the wizard, Rincewind, with all the whimsy and cockney charm you'd expect, which is satisfying enough in and of itself. Then, when you get word of his...extra-curricular line recording hidden in the game, you can't help but go, "yep, that's the guy from Monty Python, alright."

For decades, the secret to uncovering this dialogue in-game was lost to the world, and only recently did players eventually manage to crack it once and for all.

On a still image featuring dozens of characters, you need to click individually on the eyes of two specific people (who are the head developers, funnily enough). Follow a couple of additional pixel-perfect instructions to hear Rincewind say:

"I want to be the first person in a game to say f*ck."

Well, there's some debate as to whether Eric Idle was, in fact, the first, but regardless, this is one line that'll surely make you spit out your coffee.
