10 Hidden Gem Star Wars Games You Need To Play

3. The Force Unleashed (Wii)

The Force Unleashed on major consoles was a smash hit with both players and critics alike, but the Wii version is commonly seen as the runt of the litter.

With vastly reduced graphical fidelity, fewer environmental assets to manipulate using the Force, the Wii version certainly sounds like the black sheep. However, spend time with the Wii version and you’ll come to realise that it’s okay to be different.

The lightsaber combat is, predictably, mapped to motions of the Wii Remote, and Force powers are similarly triggered via Nunchuck inputs.

This is where the fun begins.

Until you've choked out a Wookie with a mere gesture, or snapped an Imperial neck with a flick of your wrist, you don’t know the power of the Dark Side.

It’s not about the lightsaber, it’s about the Force.

Controlling Starkiller’s blade via motion controls does lend a degree of immersion to the proceedings, as you are left tired and aching after an epic duel. The Force Unleashed on major consoles is a game which deserves all its plaudits, but don’t overlook the Wii version.
