10 Highly-Anticipated Video Games FINALLY Releasing In 2021

9. Biomutant

Dead Island 2
THQ

It's pretty crazy to think that Biomutant was originally announced all the way back in 2017, and is only now ready and raring to hit consoles and PC later in May of this year. But what a journey it's been!

Across multiple delays, retooling behind the scenes, and all this time and money spent, Biomutant has become the underdog of the gaming industry, refusing to bow down and persevering with the love and energy of its design team.

Across this time it seems to have become a game that perfectly reflects its core message of adapting to your surroundings, drawing clear inspiration from the likes of Breath Of The Wild, Batman's Arkham games and even shades of Jade Empire to form something that may well be provide something for everyone. Plus, with these horrible and somehow cute abominations to play as and fight against, it's definitely got some striking visuals.

Whether Biomutant rises to the top of the pack or is revealed to be the runt of the litter is yet to be seen, but to be honest with the time it's had, we're just glad it exists.
