Lava Axe has been around for years with it's original printing being nearly 20 years old! In its 16 total printings Lava Axe has had a couple of different comedic hits. The first flavour text describes the Axe's benefit over similar fire based tools, describing it as, "A strict upgrade over the cinder hatchet."
As if that weren't good enough, the second laugh comes in the form of instructions to the target of the Axe, "Catch!". Unless you have a heavy duty pair of oven mitts on i'd advise against it.
