9. Demon's Souls
http://youtu.be/wEt0iVXhkFo I had my pick here really, between Demon's Souls or its spiritual successor Dark Souls. Both are approaching masochistic levels of difficulty and each is probably about as difficult as the other. Which is to say difficult enough to reduce even the most stoic of players to a sobbing, gibbering mess. But original is best as they say, so Demon's Souls it is. It's not that Demon Soul's is impossible to beat - I know a few guys who've beaten it - it's just that it's so horrendously difficult that only the bravest and most masochistic warriors need apply. And even then, there'll be tantrums. If you're the type of gamer who loses your temper easily, maybe give this one a wide berth; who can afford replace snapped controllers in this economy? For that reason, those with the completion stat in Demon's Souls belong to a comparatively exclusive club indeed.
