10 Horror Video Games That Desperately Need Sequels

4. ZombiU

Easily the game with The Worst Name in the World, ZombiU was actually still a remarkably solid experience, and if you happened to exist in the middle of a 'Nintendo' and 'Horror Fan' Venn diagram, it was a total system-seller. Still, being one of only a handful of titles for the console you could name off the top of your head that aren't primarily aimed at a younger demographic, the nerve-wracking slow explorative side of ZombiU managed to bring the scares along with gameplay difficulty. In a move that Dark Souls tends to get the most credit for, dying in this game doesn't actually mean a total loss of items. After respawning as someone new and returning to where you might have died, you'll then have to take on the zombified version of your previous character - a really sweet gameplay mechanic we're surprised nobody thought of before. So far ZombiU 2 has been shelved as Ubisoft apparently want to hold off until the console itself is far more established - which probably means we're not getting that sequel until at least the next Zelda pops up.
