10 Hotly-Anticipated 2016 Video Games You Should Be Worried About

3. No Man's Sky

Oh boy, another game that's been teased forever. After years of speculation, the indie-turned-triple A (kinda) No Man's Sky finally gave us a glimpse at what you'll be doing other than just jetting off to far away distant planets late last year. Thankfully it seems that there's a meaty game under all those pre-release promises that we've been hearing for years now. However, I say "seems" for a reason - because we still aren't 100% sure what the core gameplay loop is actually going to be. Unfortunately, until a month or so ago the public had basically seen the same gameplay demo over and over again with little variation. And with NMS supposedly hitting shelves just in time for the summer, there are still few concrete facts about the nature of its release, with the title seemingly still being propped up on the promise of the initial reveal all those years ago. That said, you can disregard everything I've just mentioned if the game is announced to be compatible with VR. I don't care if there's literally nothing else you can do in the game other than setting off and landing on different worlds, because exploring and discovering new and uncharted planets in a virtual reality space would be better.than.anything.
