Rockstar aren't ones to 'play the game'. Which is to say, the studio are so big and so well-known, they don't need to bother with 'exclusive looks' at their games in progress, or to even release multiple teasers and trailers.

They could drop any game TOMORROW with zero fanfare, and it'd outsell everything else this year.

For Red Dead Redemption 2, we've seen one brief glimpse alluding to multiple playable characters and confirming a prequel setting, but that's all. Fans really want to know precisely what the purpose in revisiting a character who had one of the most well-known deaths in gaming history is, and personally I'm dying to just see this game in motion.

It's entirely possible Rockstar won't say jack until a couple of months before launch, but we can hope.
