10 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games That Will Disappoint You In 2016

7. Hitman

What will go wrong: Episodic release changes the entire focus of how we play. So here's the thing with an episodic Hitman; it could actually work brilliantly. All we need to do, is reevaluate what we think a 'Hitman game' is. Perhaps, rather than being a string of levels loosely tied together with the barest semblance of plot, maybe the new game is going to give us one massively open-world environment every couple of months, and let the online community do the rest? If Super Mario Maker proved anything, it's that providing the right toolset for a fanbase can produce endless entertainment, and if Square's idea is to let fans create their own custom hits across the board, it could change Hitman into more of a multiplayer-styled game. You'd log in, check the local leaderboards, partake in a few 'hits', maybe even go up against silhouettes of other players in the process - the change being that we think of Hitman in short blasts a la COD or Rocket League, as oppose to diving into a few day's worth of content.
