10 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games That Will Disappoint You In 2016
6. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
What will go wrong: We never needed another Uncharted in the first place. Whether 'A Thief's End' relates to Nathan Drake, his brother Sam or old-man Sully, nobody wants to see any of their stories come to mortal end. It's no secret that Naughty Dog work best when they've innovating on new IPs - just look at the monumental leaps from Crash to Jak & Daxter, then Uncharted to The Last of Us. Every new generation sees a new set of characters, and although modern day limitations of game design have slowed them down a bit (resulting in multiple delays and key members of the team leaving), Uncharted 4 marks the first time in their history they've ever done a fourth main instalment in any core narrative. What's the best case scenario for a fourth Uncharted, really? We've already seen Drake and Elena shack up at the close of the trilogy with a 'happily ever after' walk off into the sunset, and most importantly - SULLY IS STILL ALIVE. I'm not saying it's going to be unequivocally bad, just weirdly unnecessary - like the crowbarred-in multiplayer mode.
