4. Scalebound
You might not believe it, but Scalebound has quite a lot in common with ReCore. Like the latter, Scalebound is being developed exclusively for the Xbox One by Platinum Games, a studio founded by former Capcom employees Shinji Mikami (of Resident Evil fame), Atsushi Inaba and, the most relevant person for this entry, Hideki Kamiya. You can say whatever you want about Microsoft, but they certainly have an eye for talent - especially when it comes to former Capcom employees. Like Mikami, Mr. Kamiya is the man responsible for the Devil May Cry series, so it's hardly surprising that Scalebound's protagonist is just as much of a (if not more so) cocky wiseass as Dante. But gone are the demonic themes and punk-inspired dress sense of that world. Instead, we've got Drew and his scaly-looking arm that endows him with the power of dragons. Splicing action-adventure with RPG elements, Scalebound is about a man and his companion dragon, Thuban, journeying across the world of Draconis, kicking ass and taking names. Platinum have ensured everyone that this is the biggest and most ambitious game they've ever created, and with the ability to fly around the world atop Thuban, we can only assume that their claim will turn out to be true.
