We already know that Remedy are going to be handling the single-player story mode for CrossFire 2 as part of their partnership with SmileGate, but we'll likely be hearing a lot more from them in 2017 as well. The studio have previously confirmed that they are currently working on two brand new projects, though they have sadly already said that neither is relating to Alan Wake.

Still, the news that they're in the development stage with two unannounced games was well-received; Remedy is still a studio that are able to generate a lot of intrigue and excitement around their new games. It's even more exciting to think that we might get a look at at least one of these new titles sooner than we may have expected given Remedy's traditionally slow schedule.

In April a developer resume appeared online that suggested Remedy's unannounced title had actually been under development since August 2015. Nothing's been said to the contrary and so, given that work on Quantum Break started in mid 2011 and its announcement came in May 2013, a similar schedule would see the announcement for this next title falling in the second half of 2017. Remedy are nothing if not methodical, after all!
