10 Hugely Underrated 2013 Video Games

2. Crysis 3

MetaCritic Score: 76-77 Crysis 3, like the previous games in the series, was widely praised by the press for its stupendously amazing visual presentation, easily making it one of the best looking games of all time. However, a lot of the reviews also criticised the multiplayer mode, and particularly the enemy AI, which they saw as spotty and inconsistent. In addition, the game fell short of sales projections, making it less certain that a fourth game would be released, though I expect it still will be. There is nothing quite like Crysis 3 out there. If the first game was an ambitious if flawed outing, Crysis 2 built on that ambition by placing players in a concrete jungle, and then Crysis 3 is essentially the best of both worlds, hurling players between urban and rural locales while being able to take enemies down with an array of awesome Nanotech abilities. The Hunter Mode in multiplayer is also one of the most annoyingly addictive things I played in the last 12 months, a Last Man Standing-type mode, in which players have to fend off other online players who are wearing cloaked Nanosuits for as long as possible. So many tout these games as being style over substance, but I assure you that is not the case here.
