10 Hyped 2017 Video Games That Will Definitely Disappoint You

1. Injustice II

Call it a hunch, or call it "What Warner Bros. do these days", if you take a look at how egregious the publisher have become with paid DLC plans and microtransactions (Batman: Arkham City/Knight and Mortal Kombat, for example), there's no way the 'loot based unlocks' of Injustice II aren't being put in place to suck up as much money as possible.

If you're not up to speed, the big new feature in Injustice 2 is a system of unlockable armour parts, which you'll acquire at random across both the campaign and online. The big hook on playing for increased periods of time is that you'll be rewarded with cooler or more outlandish costumes, all routed through whichever parts you've accrued, that can then be bolted on.

There's also the small matter of many character designs - Batman in particular - looking a bit, well, naff. Caught somewhere between the and the forever-crippled DCEU, Bats' special move involves his Batwing unloading machine gun fire and missiles onto a foe, tying into the 'gung-ho' version of Bruce we're seeing unfold on the silver screen.

Could it be that Warner Bros. had some specific requirements for his portrayal? Because going off how badly received Warner Bros. have handled the characters these last couple of years, it could be disastrous.
