5. Isaac Clarke

Dead Space is a terrifying and violent horror video game series, and Isaac Clarke is right at the forefront. The Necromorphs are also one of the most frightening creatures ever created for video games, and Clarke is the perfect silent protagonist. Yet, the Dead Space franchise has failed to remain in the spotlight.

2008's Dead Space is known as one of the greats in survival horror and set a high bar for the genre. The sequel, Dead Space 2, released in 2011, was arguably on par with the original and kept Isaac Clarke in the spotlight. However, 2013's Dead Space 3 received surprisingly poor sales and thus sparked the downfall of the franchise.

Isaac Clarke has lived on in the hearts of horror fans. He's became a mascot for the genre with his iconic blue light up space suit and epic plasma cutter weapon. Yet, as time goes on, Isaac Clarke is struggling to matter anymore.

A remaster of the trilogy has failed to surface, and a return to the series seems dead in the water, especially now that the developers have moved on to the recently announced horror game The Callisto Protocol.
