10 Iconic Video Games That Could Be Made Perfect With Remakes

2. Mass Effect

The most recent game on this list, the original Mass Effect is something of a flawed masterpiece. While developers at Bioware absolutely nailed the tone, characters and story of their first attempt at a sci-fi space opera, the title was let down by its uninspired combat, terrible loot system and crippling technical issues.

Fortunately the team seemed to understand the first game's problems, and the entries in the series that followed this initial attempt completely overhauled the combat system and made the game all around more stable to play. Hell, even the PC release of the first Mass Effect improved on some of the faults found in the Xbox 360 release - so it's clear the developers always knew that what they had wasn't perfect.

A remake that focused on making the combat closer in parity to the sequels alone would give players enough of a reason to run through the original game again, while an update to the engine to make things more stable and increase the technical shortcomings would go a long way to bring Bioware's original vision for this seminal title to life.
