10 Important Video Game Plot Points Answered In DLC
6. The True Ending - Asura's Wrath (Episodes 19-22)
Bombastic anime action Asura’s Wrath centred around the titular demigod as they embark on an epic quest of vengeance to defeat those who wronged him and kidnapped his daughter. Told in an episodic format complete with opening and closing credits, playing this game is more like watching an insanely over-the-top anime in the best possible way.
By the time the end of the base game rolls around, the dust has settled on what was supposed to be the final battle. Though it’s left ambiguous whether the antagonist was defeated for good, Asura is nevertheless reunited with his daughter for what appears to be a happy ending.
But the story wasn’t over yet. In fact, there were four more episodes that continued Asura's story. But you'd need to purchase the DLC to experience them.
If the base game was insane, the last episodes took Asura’s story to another realm of bizarre. A final twist sees his daughter being possessed by The Lord Of All Creation, who’s revealed to be the reason behind Asura’s suffering. A climactic battle then ensues which sees Asura evolve into a godly being, and all this was missed if you never picked up the DLC.
