10 Improvements The New Gears Of War Needs To Have

5. Bring Back The Kryll!

Remember these guys? Little black dudes of death who chopped you up into pieces if you stepped into the light, the Kryll haven't been seen since Gears 1. Allegedly they were all wiped out in the Lightmass bombing at the end of the game (presumably to remove the mechanic from future installments) but surely I can't be the only one who actually enjoyed the variation that Kryll segments gave? Yes, they could be annoying and force you to actually think about what you're doing, but that's what the best shooters do anyway. It shouldn't be too easy; a bit of challenge never goes amiss in a good game. With next-gen lighting and dynamic shadows and all kinds of fancy trickery going on behind the scenes, developing shifting darkness and light where the gamer is forced to adapt to survive in the presence of Kryll would be a real challenge indeed. Am I alone here in actually kind of missing the Kryll? Perhaps I'm just bonkers.
