3. The Next-Gen Visuals The Xbox One Is Capable Of
Although we're in the transition period between consoles where the games aren't anywhere near the quality of what we end up with at the end, both the PS4 and Xbox One are lacking killer games that really push them to the limit and show what they're capable of. There's no doubt in my mind Microsoft is putting all of its resources into making Halo 5 as visually impressive as possible, but the Gears series, with its focus on gore, grit and graphical prowess, could easily be the true highlight of Microsoft's line-up over the next few years. You can almost feel the blood running down the screen now, can't you? With chunks of monsters flying everywhere, beautiful new lighting systems, particle effects, flowing motion capture, facial technology and so much more poured into this experience (combined together with a few fantastic set-pieces), and you've got yourself a visual treat for the senses right here. Of course the gameplay needs to be as tight as the graphics, but it never hurts when something looks pretty, now does it?
