10 Incredible Bosses In Terrible Video Games
6. Daymare 1998 - The Abomination
From Dark Souls clones to shameless Resident Evil rip-offs now, Daymare 1998 is a travesty of a game. What could have hearkened back to the classic days of RE2 (hence the 1998 moniker), instead just squanders any potential by being terrible.
Terrible voice acting, bad character animation, flat visuals. If it was trying to parody Capcom's vintage style, it missed the mark completely.
It's also devoid of a classic Resident Evil staple: a variety of boss fights.
But of the few it does have, the Abomination is certainly a standout point. This, to its credit, is a classic homage to a Resident Evil boss.
It's tough, it's large, and it's conveniently situated itself near some very obvious explosive tanks. It also does the RE classic of being multi-staged, coming back to bite players in the ass when they least expect it.
Or, if they've played a Resident Evil, exactly the point after they find ammo stashes and a save point.
It's ironic that the boss is called Abomination, given that it's the only thing the game did right, whilst the rest is an absolute shambles.
