Despite how you might feel about this dilution of the original Star Wars mythos, it isnt going to stop, maybe not ever. So its with that in mind that I include the upcoming Star Wars 1313 in this list. Star Wars 1313 dispenses of the Jedi almost entirely, according to the several previews youll find online, choosing instead to focus on a Bounty Hunter as the main character, whose primary weapon is, as you can probably already guess, a trusty blaster. So, despite being set in the Star Wars universe, 1313 is a cover and fire shooter and promises a much darker, morally ambiguous storyline than usual thanks to its setting in Level 1313 a dark and deadly criminal underworld deep beneath the surface of Coruscant. No lightsabers?! I hear you cry, what a f***ing sham! Fear not my friend, according to creative director Dominic Robilliard we wont miss the Jedis weapon of choice, as your Bounty Hunter will be able to do incredible things thanks to upgradeable gear, gadgets and interaction with the levels and environments. Plus you cant deny it looks amazing. Like, really amazing. And thats thanks to the direct involvement of Industrial Light & Magic, Lucas own revolutionary effects house, whove been fully on board in the visual design of the game. I dont know about you, but I cant wait.
