10 Incredible Sequels That Came From Terrible Video Games
7. Spider-Man 2
Its a bit of a shame that over ten years since its original release, Spider-Man 2 is still considered the pinnacle of licensed movie tie-in games. But up until it released on the PS2, it's safe to say that the franchise had amassed a rather spotty set of games, and with the release of the original movie tie-in game the series had pretty much sank as low as it could possibly go. So it was a surprise then, when this official movie tie-in came out and everybody - fans of the series and newcomers alike - absolutely loved it. With the simple ability to swing around an open-world city as Spider-Man, games had finally faithfully created a version of the beloved superhero that felt true to the character, and even more impressively, the rest of the game wasnt bad either. Boasting most of the wall-crawler's rogues gallery and the ability to deal spontaneous justice on the streets of Manhattan, Spider-Man 2, after numerous games had tried and failed to achieve the very same thing, finally made you feel like you were playing as everyones favourite web-head.
