10 Incredible Video Game Character Easter Eggs You Totally Missed

4. Cloud (Final Fantasy Tactics)

Anybody who has played the Final Fantasy series will tell you that each iteration takes place in its own little universe. Granted, there is a lot of speculation about FFX linking in with FFVII and the twelfth game was apparently set in the same universe as Square's massively under-appreciated Vagrant Story, but the point is that you won't seen characters from one game popping up in another.

Cloud forgot that with Final Fantasy Tactics. While you could argue that Tactics is by no means a mainline Final Fantasy game - and it isn't - it still followed the same rules as the main series in that it was set in its own little universe.

That doesn't stop Cloud from making an appearance though, with Square clearly wanting to take advantage of the character's popularity at the time to bolster sales.

The best part for players is that you can actually recruit him to your party if you follow a specific set of steps. Many players were unaware of this and simply assumed his appearance was a little one-off, but those who managed to get their hands on him had a great addition to their party.
