3. Donkey Kong (Punch-Out!!)
When Punch Out!! made its glorious return on the Nintendo Wii many a gamer rejoiced at the opportunity to once again lace up Little Mac's gloves and take it to the best and baddest in boxing.
The game didn't disappoint either, bringing back some of the most popular characters in the series alongside a couple of new faces for Mac to pound away at.
This being a Nintendo product you had to know they would find a way to work a cameo in there somewhere. The initial thought was to make Princess Peach one of Mac's opponents, but this was quickly dropped due to the many issues that it would inevitably cause.
Instead, Donkey Kong was brought in to take on Nintendo's best pugilist. The big ape could only be encountered in Exhibition mode or during the Last Stand mode, meaning that you had to beat the game if you were going to find him.
Kong would spend most of the fight taunting the player. However, if you get caught by one his punches you will be heading to the canvas in short order.
Plus he kinda bleeds bananas, which is just weird.
