8. No Hands-Down Worthwhile Titles
So what have you been spending your time playing over the year? For many of us it's been a mixture of jumping back into 'the pile' we all have of those titles we're always meaning to get back to, yet never do. Many critics have remarked that they're just now starting to compile their Game of the Year choices, and it must be said you'd be hard-pressed to find 10 titles that are either a) All on the next-generation of consoles, or b) incredibly immersive titles that don't put a single foot wrong. There's definitely been a handful of enjoyable experiences over the year, but when only through the first half of 2013 we'd had everything from Metal Gear Rising to Metro: Last Light, Infamous: Second Son and Titanfall just don't cut it.
