10 Incredibly Depressing Video Game Stories From 2014
6. Driveclub Being Yet Another Game With Server Issues At Launch
Looking forward to getting a big-budget next-gen game for free with your PS Plus subscription? Yeah so were we, but as the servers allowing gamers to link up and race against each other are crippled at best right now, the release of the free version has been put on indefinite hold. Oh but don't let that stop you from thinking they've pulled it from retailers, instead Sony are happy to take your £50/$60 in exchange for a broken product in the meantime. This is an annoyingly common occurrence, with everything from last year's Sim City - that was wholly dependant on servers to run at all - and the monolithic Battlefield 4 still having ridiculous server-sync issues that can randomly wipe your single-player progress among other things. It's just not good enough when consumers are spending a sizeable chunk of cash on their favourite titles, only for them not to work as advertised.
