RapeLay is a PC title released in 2006 that was touted as having improved 3D graphics but really shouldn't have made it past the table discussion phase, with the person who brought the idea up swiftly removed from the area and beaten. Developed by Illusion in Japan, they defended their titles as they are not to be sold outside of Japan, and focus all their talents on making eroge(erotic game genre in Japan) The game puts you in control of a chikan (who I have just learned are men who grope woman in public in Japan) as he stalks and disgustingly rapes the Kiryuu family that consists of a mother and two daughters, one of which is reported to be underage. The game happily boasts a variety of sexual positions on offer and apparently contains two different endings to the so-called demented story mode. Upon reading, one ending leads to your character impregnating one of the girls, who has a child, before your character commits suicide on a train track. Not exactly family friendly stuff right there. I have never and will never, much like a lot of you I hope, play RapeLay as it is a truly shocking game that deserved to be banned, burned and developers slapped. It's a title that didn't help the image of gamers or games to be taken seriously and is regularly brought up repeatedly in official arguments targeting games in the debate they're a bad form of entertainment
