10 Infuriating Video Game Moments That Made You Rage Quit
4. Call Of Duty - Getting Spawn-Slaughtered
Online shooters can be cruel, but few are crueller than the slaughtering ground that is Call of Duty. While many shooters do their best to keep games balanced, in some cases not even having a persistent leveling system that stays with you across games, COD is an exponential case of 'kill or be killed' - the more you kill, the easier it'll be for you to kill even more, but if you fail to rack up the kills early in a game, then things will get very ugly for you very quickly. Anyone familiar with COD will know that the longer the killstreak the greater the reward, and the wider the gap between the top and bottom players in terms of capacity to get more kills. This means that if you're having a bad game, you'll eventually barely be able to leave your spawn point without a helicopter gunship taking you out, a nuke landing on your head, or just being flat-out cornered by the enemy and gunned down with your bag against the wall. Inevitably, this will cause you to scream 'bloody murder' into your mic, accusing the ruthless enemy of spawn-camping, cheating, and whatever, but that just makes them relish the massacre even more. Angry, desperate and humiliated, you rage-quit the game and go play something you consider 'fairer'... before returning to COD the following day.
