Bioshock is another high-profile game that went through plenty of iterations during development, but unlike Uncharted, a lot of these changes were made obvious from one trailer to the next. For instance, the very first reveal video promises a completely different set of features and even narrative twists than the final one, as chronicled in a hilarious video by Crowbcat.

During the title's early stages of development though, the sequel jumped all over the place. Originally it was going to be set in Rapture, then during the Renaissance period (which was quickly dropped after Assassin's Creed 2 was announced), before the team settled on the sky city of Columbia.

Even once the core characters and setting were settled on though, the vision and scope of the game was also changing during production. Initially, the combat areas and sky-hook mechanic were way more elaborate, and sadly had to be reigned in for the final release.

That sucks in particular, because while the story of Infinite remains great, the combat doesn't come close to recreating the feel of these early trailers.

On top of this, multiplayer was dropped entirely, as were 'nostrums', permanent alterations to the player's abilities that would have come with a risk/reward element.
