9. The Player Character Laughs If They Deal 69 Damage To An Enemy - Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 is full of ridiculous meta moments which wink and nod at the player, and there's probably no sneaky gag more hilariously childish - or impressively sly - than this one.

Basically, if you deal 69 damage to any enemy, listen very closely and you'll hear the player character let out a faint chuckle, acknowledging the specifically adult connotations the number carries with it.

But to be clear, the laugh is incredibly faint, so you'll need to turn your volume up loud to even have a chance of hearing it.

But given how quickly this joke would wear itself thin were it immediately audible every time you hit 69 damage, that was probably a smart call on Gearbox's part.
