Cast your mind back to the days of old Resident Evil. It was a simpler time, when your hard work and efforts were paid off with some sweet loot afterwards.

Super weapons, new costumes, sometimes even extra modes. It was worth that speedrun.

Skip ahead twenty one years, to Resident Evil 3's somewhat lacking remake, as you unlock progressively harder difficulty modes on completion.

You've sat through Nightmare, and all you've been rewarded with is a silver trophy. Then there's Inferno mode afterwards, bringing with it a meatier challenge.

So you've struggled through it, there must be some staggering reward after all of this? Oh, just a gold trophy? No other exclusive weapon that I couldn't get in the shop?

No more clothing options, or novelty foam hands borrowed from Isaac Clarke? Nope, just a gold trophy.

I mean... is it any wonder most people chose to save up for the infinite Rocket Launcher to make things easier? If there was a restriction on the trophy for using it, or a specific reward tied to it, that'd make it more enticing.

Alas no, just a gold trophy. That you can cheese the game for.
