10 Insanely Underrated Wrestling Video Games You Must Play

7. WWE Day Of Reckoning 2 (2005) - Gamecube

The last wrestling game ever released on the Gamecube and yet it was overshadowed by its PS2 counterpart, Smackdown vs Raw 2006.

Day of Reckoning 2 featured gameplay naturally similar to the previous edition, but with a few new systems in place. A stamina system was implemented where it'll slow a wrestler's movement and can leave a character winded if too much is depleted. In addition, blood and the different stages of it affect the wrestler's ability to regain this stamina, too.

Another unspoken part of Day of Reckoning 2 is its strangely engaging story mode where your character is the top dog in the RAW roster, only for you to lose your world title to Triple H. You're then relegated to jobber territory where you have to build yourself back up again. What follows is a mystery of failure with love interests, a stolen belt, being framed and even being fired from RAW - all in service of a championship match at WrestleMania 21.

Thankfully it all comes off as fun, and with this intriguing story mode, there's enough there to make it a "must play" for any fan; casual or otherwise.
