10 iPad Games That Are As Good As Anything On Consoles Right Now
7. Sword & Sorcery EP
If you're looking for a game that combines the ease of use of basic modern gaming, with the lo-fi feel of 80s adventure titles, and still manages to show off just how clever and immersive gaming has become in 2015, then Sword and Sorcery will be deny you a reasonable bedtime for a while to come. Despite dropping in 2012, the game is still quietly collecting new fans and blowing people away. The story centres around a lone warrior and her dog, and their quest sees them wander through some gorgeously rendered 8-bit landscapes to a near perfect backing soundtrack. The game has you click your way around to uncover new paths and items, and strikes a wonderful balance between puzzle solving and fighting your way though - special mention for the subtle yet fun magic system as well. The game even utilises a light tilt function on your tablet. However the real beauty to this game is to be found in its dialogue, which is predominantly all the protagonists inner monologue. The charm and wit that ooze out of every level grabs you from the beginning and never lets go, with indie developers Capybara creating a really unique blend of art, sound and story.
