2. World of Warcraft
It's the MMO that most of us have at once stage played - or more likely, been addicted to - and with its 10 million subscribers, it's the most-subscribed MMO in history. While this gives the game an epic feel, and it always means you're going to be able to find people to raid with, it also means that the game has a higher incidence of morons than any other MMO in history. The elitism is to be expected, but it's elevated to such a high degree that new players looking for help are going to become unstuck very quickly; it's really a game best gone through with a few buddies, if they're patient and not a part of the problem themselves, that is. The obnoxiousness of MMOs - the false sense of superiority - is no more apparent than in this game, not unexpected given its towering stature as the most popular - and apparently the best - MMO of all time, but disappointing all the same.
