Japan has been a setting AC fans have been begging for ever since it was announced that each new game would feature a new locale. Like China, Japan is an Asian country with a lot of colourful history and amazing weaponry that could be used to make an AC game fun. Just the thought of being a Samurai or ninja assassin is enough to make this game appealing, but add in the number of Japanese myths that could be featured, the well-known array of ancient Japanese weapons and the different clans and factions that could be used and you have enough material for at least a trilogy of AC games. Japanese architecture is also ideal for scaling walls and running across rooftops while picking people off with darts and throwing knives.
