10 Locations Future Assassin's Creed Games Need To Visit
7. Mexico
Mexico's history dates back over 23 thousand years, but an ideal time period for an AC game would be between 1500 and 1600 when the Spanish had fully settled in the territory and there was a lot of conflict, as it always seems to be the backdrop for an Assassin's Creed game. Remember, Altair fought during the Crusades, Ezio was constantly surrounded by war, Connor was in the thick of the Revolutionary War and Edward Kenway was battling with two different countries as well as other pirates. An AC game in Mexico could go two ways; there could either be a Spanish character or there could be someone who is descended from ancient civilisations that have been all but wiped out by the Spanish occupation. The jungles would make for some great free-running tricks and the historic temples in Mexico could easily be tied into the ongoing "First Civilisation" storyline. A lot of what we have seen in the AC flashbacks shows some Mayan and Aztec influences, which makes Mexico and the surrounding area a place the series would thrive in.
I have been a writer for Bleacher Report for several years, and am now happy to also be a writer at What Culture! I do my best to contribute anywhere I can in a positive way, and that includes in my writing. Some people call me The Doctor, but Chris is fine.
