10 Lost Video Game Characters You Didn't Realise Came Back
1. Conker In Project Spark/Hololens Demo
Perhaps the most tragic of the list, Conker seems to have been stretched out way too far(in terms of both artistic portrayal and business utility), losing a lot of his personality in the process.
Though the foul-mouthed little drunkard would see a Bad Fur Day remake on the original Xbox, since then, it seems his days - bad fur or otherwise - have been spent hidden from view.
Though he’d appear as a truly hideous mascot in a Hololens game prototype where he’d navigate your living room (a neat concept, with middling implementation), you’d be forgiven for missing a more traditionally Conker-esque portrayal of the ginger madman... it was hidden away in the now-forgotten game creation tool, Project Spark.
Taking place a decade after Bad Fur Day, “Conker’s Big Reunion” was a short, stand-alone game made to showcase the flexibility of the Project Spark software, and though admittedly, it was actually quite enjoyable/true to character, it was clear that this was more a marketing tool than anything else (with a focus on getting players to make their own Conker-based levels and adventures).
Certainly no Great Mighty Poo, but I’ve had far better fur days.
