10 Lost Video Game Characters You Didn't Realise Came Back
2. Kain And Raziel In Tomb Raider: Guardians Of Light
Lara Croft’s games have been... varied, to say the least. In her original outings, she was a cocky, self-assured badass, with almost as robust and impressive a bank balance as her bra underwire, in supporting her adventures.
Since then, she’s been in a trilogy of Uncharted-like reboot adventures (where she cries at the thought of murder, but does it a lot), a few light strategy mobile games, and a couple of isometric twin-stick shooters.
Though I’d argue how fitting the Tomb Raider is in fitting into a twin-stick shooter as a genre, I reluctantly accepted it and had a ton of fun quipping, diving under spiked logs and plugging phantom sets of armour in the noggin. So, if I can accept Diablo Lara (Diablara?), why not go all-out and just... add the Soul Reaver in as a playable character?
With seemingly absolutely no link between franchises (and no Soul Reaver game in over fifteen years), the blood-and-soul-hungry Kain and Raziel being added as playable DLC characters felt as random as anything else in Guardians of Light.
Which, I suppose, is kinda... thematically consistent, I suppose.
