10 Loveable Side Characters Who Deserve Their Own Video Games
8. Garrus (Mass Effect)
Mass Effect features a range of supporting characters with various personalities; it would be near impossible to determine everybody's favourite. Garrus would be a popular choice though - having appeared as a supporting character in all three Mass Effect games, his development as a character is the most noticeable. What's most interesting about Garrus is his strong dynamic with Commander Shepard; many have compared their relationship to that of a master and his protégé. Surely Garrus is ready to star in his own spin-off then? A story based around his role as Archangel (Prior to Mass Effect 2, Garrus infiltrated a series of mercenary groups and disrupted them from within) would be particularly interesting, fleshing out the character further as well as giving us the chance to revisit the popular, more densely populated areas of the universe. It would also work well with the squad systems already in place in Bioware's RPG Garrus wouldn't have to work as a lone wolf; he could recruit party members from the various areas he visits. The vast wealth of lore in the Mass Effect universe makes the possibilities near infinite. There's definitely potential for a Garrus-centric game and it's definitely something Bioware should explore before launching their newest Mass Effect adventure.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
