10 Major Plot Holes EASILY Answered In Their Video Games

6. Fallout 3 - Fawkes Could Go Into The Chamber

This plot-hole caused so much anger upon release that the developers made an entire DLC expansion based around fixing it. When you really look at it though, there isn't a plot-hole to be found.

At the climax of Fallout 3, someone must go into a chamber to activate the purifier that will bring clean water to the nuclear wasteland. The catch is the player must go inside and sacrifice themselves, being doused with a lethal amount of radiation when they do.

However, fans are quick to point out that one of your companions Fawkes is a Super Mutant, and therefore is immune to radiation. He could have turned it off just fine and no one would have to die.

What players fail to spot however, is this wasn't a plot hole and the developers did have an answer for it. All you have to do is talk to Fawkes and he will give you the statement seen in the photo above. Sure it's a lame way of writing this conundrum out of the narrative, but it's there for players to see and fill in the reason why.

It's not the big mistake everyone thinks it is, and it's certainly not a plot "hole" - Fawkes was just kind of a jerk.
