10 Marvel Heroes For The New Mystery Game
9. Blade
Blade is about as unlikely as Gambit. The only thing that moves the needle in his favor is that he's gearing up to play a major role in the MCU, played by two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali. He recently appeared in Eternals as a voice cameo in the post-credits scene (though you'd be forgiven for not knowing who it was). Blade is about to be back on the pop culture radar in a big way, and it'd make sense to capitalize on that. Strike while the iron is hot, as they say.
Even though Blade is one of the less likely entries on this list, he'd still be a pretty solid fit. After all, Hennig's experience is in linear, character-focused, narrative-driven games (as opposed to RPGs with nameless ciphers for protagonists, or first-person shooters where the character plays second fiddle to the gunplay). Blade wouldn't incorporate any outlandish mechanics, and it wouldn't be a radical departure from what she's done in the past.
The Daywalker has a rich mythology, a kickass cast of supporting characters (Whistler, Hannibal King, etc.), and a cool move set. Why not give him his AAA due?
